The country music version of “The  Wrestler” – I predict Jeff Bridges WILL win the Oscar.

4-time Oscar nominated  Jeff Bridges  should nail the  big prize this year with his flawless, never over-played performance as a washed-up alcoholic country artist in this small gem of a  film.   

Who knew  Collin Farrell could sing??!!  Farrell total aces his much smaller role as  the star who surpasses his mentor. Maggie Gyllenhaal has all the right stuff and an easy chemistry with Bridges.  But this is Jeff’s movie all the way. He lives  country artist Bad Blake, even gaining the necessary Oscar poundage to inhabit the body of the country star gone-to-pot.

As great as Jeff Bridges has been in his past performances, The Dude reaches a career high in this one.
