A romantic comedy with no chemistry and lots o  caricatures .

I didn’t hate the film-  it’s not nearly as bad as “The Ugly Truth” and “All About Steve”. But there are several  problems.  First- the plot :  an estranged couple going into the witness protection program after seeing a murder on their way back from what could be a reconciliation  dinner??!!   Second: Sarah Jessica Parker and Hugh Grant have zippo chemistry . At least  SJP was totally comfy in her role as a real estate queen- shades of “Sex And The City” with a magazine cover of her plastered all over New York. And  she looked great. 

On the other hand, Sam Elliot and Mary Steenburgen were great together as the Wyoming cops who sheltered  the battling fish-out-o-water Morgans.  Both couples were total caricatures. At least Sarah Palin got her first shout-out  in a film. That got me to laugh.

Oh-and the pacing was so slow- I actually nodded off.

With so many truly great films to see this time o year, best to turn a deaf ear to “Did You Hear About The Morgans”
